I wonder if iphone.co.nz was a push by legal demands. I would have thought that the registration took place before the Trademark, so retaining ownership is a defendable position in a possible DRS.

As Zap says it'll probably get renewed during the grace period so this might be an attempt to see what interest there is in names like this.

I should add, I knew (and you knew) that it was going to be renewed. So I decided to remove the pleasure of seeing multiple people bid on it (to get a gauge on activity) and go to $4k.

Would I have been happy if I got it for $4k? In a heartbeat. So may as well mess the bidding up.
