No doubt the registrant will be renewing, along with some other teasers out their.

I wonder if iphone.co.nz was a push by legal demands. I would have thought that the registration took place before the Trademark, so retaining ownership is a defendable position in a possible DRS.

Seems that it could have been a tech glitch for Gaming.co.nz, maybe they just put that in as a max bid and it went live...

I figured that too. I wondered if it was an accident or a cunning plan, I guess we'll never know for sure.

As Zap says it'll probably get renewed during the grace period so this might be an attempt to see what interest there is in names like this.

I should add, I knew (and you knew) that it was going to be renewed. So I decided to remove the pleasure of seeing multiple people bid on it (to get a gauge on activity) and go to $4k.

Would I have been happy if I got it for $4k? In a heartbeat. So may as well mess the bidding up.
